Farmers’ Protest, India

2020-2021

Hundreds of thousands of farmers from Punjab started the march on their tractors and trolleys towards Delhi on November 26, 2020, Government blocked all the way to Delhi with huge stones, barricades and deployed a large amount of police but farmers remove all the obstacles from their way and reached the border of Delhi. The next day, farmers from all over India started moving toward Delhi and joined the agitation. Then, the agriculture minister of India called the leaders of farmers’ organizations to negotiate on farm laws. Farmers were aware this protest is going to be very long so they bring ration for 6 months with them. Police blocked the borders of the capital with barricades and spikes so farmers decided to settle down at the borders of Delhi.
